About Kevin

Kevin has broad experience both as a corporate/transactional attorney and as a business and real property litigator.

He has successfully represented a variety of clients including nationwide landlords, individual property owners, REITs, developers, private investors, and brokers in real estate and business litigation throughout California. He has also counseled executives regarding e-commerce, trademark and copyright registration and enforcement, commercial transactions, employment, and risk management, including in the then-emerging fields of data privacy, biometrics, facial recognition, virtual/augmented reality.

After Kevin started his legal career at a boutique eminent domain and real property litigation firm in San Diego, his practice evolved to focus on corporate compliance, pre-litigation dispute resolution, and transactional work. This led to a long-term role as General Counsel for an information technology and management consulting firm. There, among other things, he reviewed, negotiated, and drafted custom Master Services Agreements, website Terms of Use, Privacy Policies (navigating GDRP and California’s privacy protections), EULAs, intellectual property licenses, and software development agreements.

Kevin later returned to his litigation roots and now has over a decade of experience in real property and business litigation, including all manner of real estate contracts (e.g. leases, purchase & sale agreements, options, and CC&Rs), land use issues, business disputes, and related torts.

He’s achieved success for clients in diverse matters including quiet title, unlawful detainer, boundary disputes, encroachment, nuisance, trespass, prescriptive and equitable easements, breach of contract, fraud, and nondisclosure actions.

Kevin’s is as comfortable crafting creative and business-minded solutions for corporations as he is addressing the fundamental urgency of individuals and families who have been forced into (hopefully) once-in-a-lifetime litigation involving their business or property. Kevin lives in San Diego with his wife and young children. There have been discussions of a family dog.
