About Daniel
Daniel R. Salas, Of Counsel to the Firm, is a senior litigation attorney who has specialized in real estate litigation and commercial litigation for the entirety of his legal career. Mr. Salas was admitted to the California State Bar in 1975 after graduating from Stanford Law School. Daniel began working with David Boss in 2010 to focus on representation of title insurers and their policy holders in courts throughout California. Over his decades-long career, Mr. Salas has handled a wide variety of cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts, including disputes regarding real property ownership, real property sales, foreclosures, enforceability of CC&R’s, land use regulation, breach of lease claims, disputes among business owners, and litigation regarding recognition of foreign money judgments.

Unrelated to his litigation practice, Mr. Salas was appointed in 2001 by the Mayor of San Diego to serve as the Latino commissioner on the City’s Citizens’ Equal Opportunity Commission, an advisory commission of volunteer appointees, which reports to and advises the Mayor and City Council on the effectiveness of and/or need for City programs designed to achieve and maintain diversity in public employment and contracting. Mr. Salas was appointed to Chair the CEOC annually by the Mayor between 2004 and 2008. He served on the Commission until 2010.
